For Parents and Caregivers
For those of you who are just becoming familiar with our school, we would like to provide you with some background information on our school, an understanding of the principles behind the school and the learning process we use.
Parents in the Classroom
For the children one of the most eagerly awaited days is their Special Day! This is the day when a special person in their lives spends the morning with them in the classroom. Parents participation in the classroom 1-4 times a year as part of the preschool experience.
ECDC Parent Committee
Our parent committee is comprised of volunteers and raises funds for and plans enrichment activities for the students. Some activities include Family Day, Sleepytime events, the Fall Fair and Parent social events.
Parent Board of Directors
The parent Board of Directors is nominated annually and comprises parent volunteers who assist in conducting the general business of the school including budget, personnel and operations.

To keep our families, parents, and caregivers in the know about what's happening at the school, we use the Brightwheel app. Brightwheel offers certified check-ins for drop off and pickups, and manages attendance, tuition accounts and payments. Parents and caregivers may message the staff during school hours through the app. Using Brightwheel, you can check for daily plans in the classroom, and see pictures posted by the staff of your children in action--learning and playing!
Because we are a parent cooperative, we use SignUpGenius to organize our many events and volunteers.
